Niamh is a sweet and quiet female, she is half human and half deer.
She is very caring for her surroundings and everyone around her.
Backstory
Niamh has always wanted to become a mother, but due to medical reasons was never able to.
Desperate to get a child, she ended up making a deal with Death, against better judgement. She was to help Death with helping people pass over. After a few cases she got assigined to Sylren. Thanks to his stupid behavior, he is basically always close to dying and thus needs someone watching over him. This way Niamh did get a 'child' and Sylren got someone to watch over him.
One day Niamh came across a fallen angel, this angel eventually turned out to be Raegann and after taking her in, the two became besties.
A letter from my best friend
"Niamh, Niamh! Look! Aranel got some more letters, but this one has what people call me on it!" the elf yelled as he dashed through the door of Niamh's house. His own name was the only thing Sylren could read by himself, except for some alcohol names, and he seemed rather proud he could read his very own name.
"I already opened all of them, but I can't read them, do you want to help?"
"Sylren.." Niamh said with a sigh, "Aranel and I already told you you're not supposed to open mail when it isn't for you."
She seemed surprised, however, over the letter addressed to Sylren. That was weird, the elf usually didn't get any mail. She immediately recognised the handwriting when Sylren handed her the letter, she could've known it was from him.
"will you read it to me Niamh?" Sylren asked eagerly, he was clearly very excited that the letter was for him.
'This is Aranel,
Sylren, I know you "read" my mail when I'm not home and ask other people to read the to you when I'm elsewhere.'
While reading this, Niamh looked up at Sylren and gave him an 'I told you' look. The elf, however, didn't even seem to notice. He was bouncing up and down in excitement now he knew the letter was from his best friend.
She took another look at Sylren before looking back at the letter and reading a bit again.
'For example Aimilios, Niamh, Zerrn and Elise.
UGH!'
"he seems upset, Sylren."
Niamh just slightly shook her head, she cared for the elf but sometimes he seemed to miss what was important. And above all, he didn't always seem to understand emotions, just like in this moment.
The elf tilted his head and stared at Niamh.
"why is he upset?" he asked
He genuinely didn't understand why Aranel would be upset with him, he had been helping him out so much! Sure, he broke his teapot, but that thing was already really old and it would've broken anyway, Sylren barely even touched it! And fair, he did set out some piranha's in Aranels pool, but how could he have known they ate meat! He is a wood elf, he knows nothing about fish. And true, while jumping on Aranels bed, he had broken one of it's legs, causing the bed to crash into itself and sending Sylren flying. He mightve landed on Aranels vanity and completely broken it, but he had blamed the moths. Aranel seemed to believe him.
No, Sylren had no idea why Aranel was upset with him.
"well..."
Niamh paused for a moment, thinking about how to choose her words as to not hurt the elf too much.
"for starters, the letters you always open." she reminded him again.
"and maybe it's because of when you did his washing and ended up staining all his white clothes pink?" she suggested to which Sylren slowly nodded.
"how could I have known those little balls were berries and not washing soap?" he asked with tears in his eyes.
He had wanted to surprise his best friend with a closet full of sparkling clean clothes.
Niamh gently shook her head again and looked at Sylren.
"shall I continue to read the letter?" she asked softly and Sylren nodded.
'but anyways, I just wanted to ask you to water my plants and let the blue butterflies outside, thank you!'
Niamh looked up at Sylren and smiled, hoping to cheer him up a little.
"that sounds like fun, right Sylren? We can let out the butterflies later and maybe they wanna play with you a little."
Sylrens face lit up almost right away and he started bouncing again.
"Yes! Yes! Maybe they wanna play tag! Or hide and seek! Let's go! Let's let the butterflies out!"
Sylren jumped up and dashed to the butterflies but Niamh stopped him
"Don't you want to hear the rest of the letter?"
The elf gasped, nodded eagerly and sat back down again. All his attention was on the female, waiting for her to continue.
'I'm on a hunting trip with Gaull by the way.
DON'T BREAK ANYTHING!
Love,
Aranel'
At the last sentence the elf froze up a little and he seemed guitly.
"what's wrong Sylren?"
He looked away and avoided Niamh's gaze for a moment before standing up. A second later he came back with some pieces of wood in his hands.
"i couldn't get the door open, so I kinda ran into it headfirst.."
