Backstory

Sylren used to live a happy life. he had a peaceful life with a lot of friends, until one day his town got attacked. At the moment of the attack, Sylren was just out of town, but immediatly returned once he noticed something was wrong.
Once back in town, all he found was chaos and dead bodies. He made his way to the most important tree in their town, the tree that if well cared for, gave the elves their magic. By this tree he found Aeryn, his best friend. Before they could reunite however, the tree started falling and crushed Aeryn, right in front of Sylrens eyes.
The next decades Sylren spent capturing the souls of everyone in the city. He made promise; since he could not protect them in life, he would after death. And now he carries the little bottles with the souls everywhere he goes.
While on this journey he realised the king of the kingdom was behind the attacks. Sylren went to confront the king and ask for an explanation. Instead the king only taunted Sylren. Sylren ended up killing the king. He took the crown and now claims to be king, despite not really being one.
he started wandering around and ended up in Aegredia, where he met Niamh, Raegann and Aranel.

The day I met my best friend

Sylrens view

The day I met my best friend, I remember it so well, now don't I? It was a nice sunny day, the birds were chirping, the sun was shining, blah, blah, blah. You aren't here to hear about the weather, now are ya?
I was being chased by some locals as per usual, they weren't fast enough and soon I was able to get rid of them. Not long after I came across this house and peeked inside. I saw this elf in all white, but more importantly, I saw his gorgeous necklace. I wanted it, no, I needed it! So I went inside to get it, the fact that he was wearing certainly wouldn't cause a problem, now would it?
He didn't even notice I managed to get inside! Some moths did fly up, but he didn't even look around to see why. First mistake.
I walked up to him as he sang. Second mistake. That only made it easier for me 'cuz he was clearly distracted, now wasn't he! I sneaked up to him and tried to get my hands on the necklace. He thought his friend were tickling his neck. Third mistake!
But.. That's when he finally noticed me.
He stumbled back and actually fell down, I couldn't stop laughing at the sight! He asked who I was, so I introduced myself, and he actually believed me when I said I was a king! Fourth mistake! But then again, who wouldn't with my crown as proof.
He actually offered me some tea, but then he grabbed a knife. I still don't understand why he would need a knife to make tea. I don't use a knife to make tea, now do I? So then he starts threatening me with it! Fifth mistake. He really made a lot of mistakes that day, now didn't he?
Either way, I was telling you the story, I figured he didn't know how to make tea, so I decided to help him. But his faucet was probably broken or something 'cuz the water spilled everywhere. Then he got angry with me, but I was only trying to help. I figured I needed to clean my mess and found this white fabric, it worked, now didn't it! But while I was cleaning, this meanie kicked me in the face! Sixth mistake.
But I didn't cry! Of course I didn't cry, i am a big elf who doesn't cry, now aren't I!
So, he kicked me in the face, but I actually saved his house from flooding, he says I was stupid, but he didn't do nothing, so who really is the stupid one?
But then we both went swimming in his pool. Well.. I went swimming, he just kinda stood there, so I pulled him into the pool! And now we are friends, now aren't we!

Aranels view

The day I met that idiot- well, I guess I should say best friend, I don't want him to cry again.
It was just a normal day, I was watering my plants and hanging out with my moths, really just a peaceful and relaxing day. Until -he- showed up.
I didn't notice him at first, first mistake I guess. He somehow managed to enter my house without a sound, I still don't know how, seeing how much jewelry he has, he should've made -some- sound at least.
Oh well, back to my story. I did feel something in my neck, but I brushed it off to be Gaull, my friend who just went home. That was my second mistake, I should've known it wasn't him. When I turned around, I saw this Christmas tree of an elf, a whole jewelry store, he had an insane amount of accessories. He startled me and I might've fallen, but I'd rather not talk about that.
When I asked who he was and why he was here, he said he was a king, I thought I were in trouble, even though I hadn't left my house in 2 decades, so to be honest, I wouldn't even know what I could've done. Something about his statement seemed off, but he had the crown to prove his story, so I decided to play along for now. Yeah, third mistake, I know.
I got up- I mean, I calmy walked to the kitchen and offered him some tea, I figured some distraction could get me out of this very weird situation.
I grabbed a knife and pointed it at him, but this idiot didn't even flinch! Instead he just walked to the kitchen and started making tea himself.
Well.. An attempt was made.
He opened the faucet and somehow managed to spill the water -everywhere- and instead of taking action, he just stood there, staring at it.
And to add insult to injury, this metal collection grabs my cape to clean it up with! My gorgeous, spotless, white cape was being used as some old rag!
Yes, i kicked him in the face. Certainly not a mistake.
And out of nowhere he starts to cry? He didn't flinch at the knife and now all of a sudden he was crying. He asked if I was angry, he genuinely seemed confused and even after i explained it -multiple times- he still didn't understand. So instead I just decided to see if he wanted to go to my pool, of course he did. But he acted like a whole child, jumping and splashing around. Not what i had in mind, but at least he couldn't do any harm.
I was wrong. Oh, of course i was wrong.
I was just calmly getting ready when I noticed it was quiet. At this point I've known him long enough to know it was too quiet for this idiot not to be doing anything stupid. And before I knew it, he pulled me in the pool.
I guess we are friends now. Some days I ask myself how I put up with him. But if I can be honest, I am glad we are friends.
